Mission: To encourage the modernization of transportation systems through the use of smart card technology

The Smart Card Alliance Latin America (SCALA) Transportation Council consist of experts from both the government and the private sector working together to modernize and increase the efficiency of transportation systems in Latin America through the use of smart card technology. This council has had several opportunities to present the uniqueness of Latin American transportation system and key solutions to high density population areas. This group has worked extensively in exchanging knowledge and experiences with other transportation systems in Latin America.
