Outros resultados importantes: os entrevistados neste estudo também foram motivados a adotar cartões EMV/chip para se posicionarem como inovadores e líderes de tecnologia, e esperam conseguir uma migração para EMV/chip de 100% dos seus portfólios de cartões de crédito e de débito dentro de um a cinco anos.

Cartes & Identification, Villepinte, Francia, November 17, 2009–La reducción de fraude en pagos financieros es el principal impulsor para que los emisores y adquirientes adopten chips EMV en Brasil y México, según un nuevo estudio de Smart Card Alliance Latin America (SCALA), producido en participación con Visa Inc., disponible para la venta hoy. Otros hallazgos importantes: los encuestados también están motivados a adoptar las tarjetas con chip EMV para posicionarse como innovadores y líderes de tecnología, pues todos esperan que el cien por cien de sus portafolios de tarjetas de crédito y débito migren a chip EMV dentro de uno a cinco años.
